Closet Clutter
Clean closets yearly and donate anything you have not worn in the past two years. Declutter your closet so you have room to hang and put away those things you do use frequently.
Closet clutter only makes mold and mildew worse in closets. Moisture must be able to dry or mold forms. Air cannot circulate in a cluttered closet so mold quickly grows.
If you live in a humid area a dehumidifier will prevent mold spores from growing and allergies from developing. Once mold and mildew settles into carpeting it is difficult to kill. It is best to call a restoration company to remove the mold from carpets.
