Green Clean Your Kitchen
Mopping a kitchen floor. See our Floor Cleaning Guide for the proper way to care for your kitchen, bath or any hard surface flooring.
Give your product time to work on any surface that may need a little extra cleaning boost like food burned onto the top of your stove. Spray diluted CleanEz on the surface, wait 3 or 4 minutes while you clear the dishes. Then go back and wipe it off. You'll be amazed how much easier it is to clean stains, dirt, grit and grime just by giving your product time to do its job.
Smelly disposals
Rid the disposal of lingering odors by dampening a round toilet bowl brush with CleanEz then sprinkle a bit of baking soda on the brush. Scrub the inside of the disposal to remove food particles that may be clinging to the sides. Now head to a pet store for Nature’s Miracle and pour half the recommended amount into both kitchen drains. On the disposal side pour the nature’s Miracle on a cotton toilet bowl cleaner and wipe around the sides of the disposal. The enzymes "eat" away at any food particles removing the offending odors from the drains. It will keep your entire drain clear except for tree roots. Those enzymes eat away at all the bacteria on their way down the drain keeping them clear. Then toss the toxic drain openers.
Nature’s Miracle prevents drains from clogging. Pour it down bathroom sinks and shower or tub drains monthly to prevent the clogs. The enzymes are healthy for municipal systems, septic systems and holding tanks.
Removing Grout Stains
Stains in tile grout without a doubt are the toughest area in the kitchen to clean. Grout is porous so liquid cleaners seep right through making it difficult to remove the stain. Prepare yourself for a pleasant surprise when you see how quickly and easily our Stain Eraser removes those stains. It will not take the color out of colored grout like most liquid cleaners.
Clean the Refrigerator coils
Keep the motor of your refrigerator humming along by cleaning the coils at least twice yearly. A curved brush made for cleaning drains does an excellent job cleaning around the bends of the coils - do be careful not to puncture them. Some refrigerator manufacturers makes getting to the coils impossible. The cheapest way to clean these is to rent an air compressor and blow the dust off the coils.
Even though I was cleaning what I could reach with the bottle brush, the coils needed added attention. After using the air compressor our motor went back to running normally once again saving us a huge $150 to $200 service bill. This added attention to your refrigerator adds years to the motor.
Clean and Condition Kitchen cabinets
Clean and condition your cabinets twice a year to prevent cooking oils from penetrating the wood, which will dry and crack the wood. Our one step Wood Cleaner and Conditioner will keep them in top shape if used regularly. Dilute it 5 parts water to one part Wood Care to use as a regular cabinet cleaner. Discover what it does for your furniture as well. It removes scratch marks on furniture and restores the greying often found on bathroom cabinets.
Keep on top of your dishes
Establish the good habit of never setting a used cup, dish, plate etc on the kitchen sink. Rinse and place the plate etc in the dishwasher. If your hands are your dishwasher then keep a small spray bottle filled with water and dish soap on the counter. Rinse the plate etc, spray with the detergent water and you are finished in less than a minute. Let them build up and you now have a 30 minute job on your hands.
Microwave Tips
Oh, the number of times you heated leftovers in the microwave only to have the food splatter everywhere then resist all your cleaning attempts. Put the food on a regular dinner plate - never use plastic in the microwave. Then place a second plate or bowl over the top. When you heat the food, steam forms inside the plates keeping the food moist and yummy. The top plate prevents food from splattering - remember what I said about prevention and speed cleaning?
Countertops
When the dishes are cleared after the evening meal, grab a towel and the bottle of diluted CleanEz or diluted Benya and clean one counter top or perhaps the stove or a refrigerator shelf every night. Wipe counter tops with a clean rag. Dish rags contain dirt and grease that leave smears on counter tops. By the end of the week your kitchen sparkles and you have only spent an extra two or three minutes a night.
Still having problems with countertops, stoves or refrigerators smearing after you clean them? Use our Benya. It will not streak or smear any surface. It can be used safely and confidently on any surface where water can be used including marble, granite and corian.
Many stains on counter tops can be removed with whitening toothpaste. This is safe for Corian, marble or granite. Corian can also be rubbed gently with our White Scrubbie Pad to remove stubborn stains. A paste made from baking soda and hydrogen peroxide also does a good job removing stains.
Removing Cooking Odors
If linger cooking odors don't tickle your fancy, simmer a pan of water for five or six minutes adding a cup of white vinegar to the pan.
Place a 50/50 solution of white vinegar to water in a coffee cup in the microwave to remove microwave odors. Cook on high for 3 to 4 minutes. If that fails to deter those stubborn odors, place a charcoal briquette on a paper towel and leave in the microwave. Charcoal is far better at removing odors than baking soda.
Stove Hood
If the grease under the hood of your stove has gotten to the point of no return, spray on some CleanEz diluted 15 parts water to 1 part CleanEz. Cover your stove top to keep it protected. When it starts to drip, wipe with a clean but old rag.
Black stoves and refrigerators
Be sure to use a very clean cloth when working on these appliances. The grease and dirt on your cloth will cause them to smear. Our brand new and exclusive concentrated glass cleaner, Benya removes grease, smears and smudges. Spray it on then let it set several minutes. Benya will not streak or smear yet does an incredible job removing grease, dirt and fingerprints. Use one of our Swifter towels to wipe.
Caution: Do not use paper towels to clean these surfaces. Paper is made from trees, naturally. Towels, newspspers etc contain slivers of pulp that will scratch the surface. Our Swifter towels will never scratch and they can be machine washed over and over. Air dry.
