Petroleum Distillates

Be cautious about using any wax or protectant containing petroleum distillates. Most paint companies advise against the use of distillates in a wax after the VOC regulations were changed in 2003. This legislation eliminated the use of lead in paints. Lead made paint hard so they didn't oxidize as quickly.

Paints generally have a water or chroma base which makes a 'softer' paint than lead based paints. That means the paint oxidizes faster if not properly cared for. If the product contains a low grade petroleum distillate, it will oxidize the paint rapidly.

We have formulated a protectant that will not harm your boat, no wonder we call it Advantage It contains no petroleum distillates, carnauba wax or Silicone. Use Advantage on your boat, RV, tow vehicle, airplane, van or truck or motorcycle without fear of deteriorating the sealant, scratching the finish or damaging the decals, stripes, signs or lettering.
